In the session today, we further reiterated our job roles so that every member of the team could be on the same page, along with the intended versions of Unity and the VR and Android SDKs. As a team, we agreed that Lewis would create the escape room scene, I would create a lobby scene and look into the multiplayer networking, Georgina would look into creating a Slot Machine and some escape room puzzle mechanics, and Luke will design textures to be used in Lewis’s escape room scene. Due to the complexities of multiplayer and networking, I decided that I would first create the scenes needed (and also wait for the escape room integration) and test them in “single-player” so that any bugs and issues with the levels would be easier to highlight and fix, before trying to add multiplayer in over the top as multiplayer in itself can come with a whole host of issues and problems.
