Today I created the first time-lapse video out of the images that I collected in Green Park yesterday and converted the video into the right file format for Unity. Unfortunately, due to my lack of experience with the entirety of this project, my timescales were slightly off on my code, as the camera had run for a substantial amount of time but had only gathered enough imagery to create a video that was only a few seconds in length. I think this will probably be fixed by altering frequency of the camera capture through the command line, but I will need to test this to be certain. Despite the video being short, I proceeded to build the project files for Unity, converted and then imported the video, before making a few test scenes in Unity. This gives me a good base from which to test the different setups available for me to use in Unity to enhance the videos, and also allow me to test the effects of the videos according to my theories within 3D and VR environments. My theory is that the videos could be a new way of displaying background imagery within a game environment, and should hopefully not have an adverse effect on players, regardless of the mode in which they are playing.
