Today the camera module arrived, so now I can start building the camera and setup the software. The first problem that I want to solve will be the case as the original plan was that I would design and make a case using a 3D printer, but due to my own impatience I have decided that I will make a temporary, improvised case just so that I can start the project off. So after a short time gathering anything that I could think of that could be useful in making a case, I found a wooden box made of thin plywood that looks like the raspberry pi will fit into nicely, so to start I will gather the tools I think I will need.

I started by aligning the pi into a position within the box where I would be able to cut access to it in order to connect the essential components, and outline on the wood where each component would sit. After working out where each cable will go and also trying to think of any future upgrades or modifications to the case that might need to be accounted for before I started to cut in to the wood.
