Now I have confirmation for my project, I will start by checking what will be needed for the project in order to complete it within the time frame. I have a raspberry pi 2+ starter kit, so I will start by looking for a camera module that will be compatible with this version of pi. After some research, I ended up on Amazon after doing some comparisons between different camera modules, below is the exact camera module that I ordered;

The main reason for picking this camera over any of the other camera modules, was the adjustable focal camera and that it has 5 megapixels and night vision.
